Eastern Indiana Regional Workforce Board conducted research which prompted application to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development for funding. A competitive Strategic Skills Initiative grant was awarded to the region to create new jobs in agri-business, small business, and entrepreneurship advancement to assist in addressing the economic challenges of the region from decades of reliance on the automotive industry.

StartUp Indiana Project was created with the aim to jump start and grow the economy through the creation of jobs and wealth. StartUp Indiana is looking for early-to-growth stage companies with innovative business models within the region.

Optimal company or project ideas will have the potential to provide job opportunities for citizens in the region.

Other services for entrepreneurs who are not yet ready for seeking funding is to with matching funds for Business Plan Development, Feasibility Studies and Technology Evaluations through the GrowthStart Project.
